Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026.

TropeCrush is a serialized romance reading app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how to contact us about privacy requests.

Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to run the reading experience, including local reader identifiers, selected stories, chapter progress, paywall and funnel events, attribution parameters from links you open, and basic request information such as browser, device, IP address, pages viewed, and timestamps.

If you sign in, restore VIP access, contact us, or start checkout, we collect the email address and related account or subscription information needed for that action. Stripe processes payment details for paid subscriptions; TropeCrush does not store full card numbers.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide the app, remember reading context, send passwordless sign-in emails, process or verify subscription access, respond to support requests, understand whether the funnel works, debug and secure the service, prevent abuse, and improve TropeCrush. We do not use this information to make eligibility decisions about credit, employment, housing, insurance, or similar regulated matters.

Service Providers

We use service providers to host and operate TropeCrush, including Vercel for hosting, Cloudflare for DNS, security, and email routing, Supabase for database and authentication, Resend for passwordless auth email, and Stripe for subscription checkout and billing management.

PostHog, Meta, TikTok, Stape, and other advertising or product-analytics destinations are not active unless they are configured and your privacy choice allows non-essential measurement. TropeCrush keeps first-party funnel events as the source of truth before any destination delivery.

Cookies and Local Storage

TropeCrush may use browser storage to remember reading progress, attribution context, paywall state, and similar product state. You can clear browser storage in your browser settings, but the app may lose your saved reading context.

Selling or Sharing Data

We do not currently sell personal information. Advertising destination delivery stays blocked unless the destination is configured and your privacy choice allows non-essential advertising measurement.

Your Choices

You may contact us to ask for access, correction, deletion, or other privacy help. Some rights depend on where you live and whether a specific privacy law applies to TropeCrush. We will still try to honor reasonable requests where feasible.

You can clear local browser storage in your browser settings. If you receive non-transactional emails from us in the future, you will be able to unsubscribe from those emails. Transactional emails, such as sign-in, receipt, or subscription messages, may still be sent when needed to provide the service.

Children

TropeCrush is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 should not use the app or provide personal information. Some stories may include mature romantic themes.

Security and Retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS and managed infrastructure providers. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required for security, legal, accounting, or dispute reasons.

Changes

We may update this policy as TropeCrush changes. The updated date above shows when this policy last changed.
